The Skeerpoort Valley
The Skeerpoort Valley which lies between the Magaliesberg and Witwatersberg mountain ranges forms a large part of the Magaliesberg Valley Conservancy. It is a treasure trove of interest, offering a rich history, diverse fauna and flora, thriving agriculture, and vibrant industry.
Our Conservancy features breathtaking views, peaceful environments and interesting experiences. Amongst other amazing flora and fauna, it is home to many species of birds, including the majestic Cape and White-backed vulture. Large groups of these majestic birds can frequently be spotted circling or heading to or from the vulture restaurant in the nearby Hartbeesfontein Conservancy.
Visitors can enjoy bird watching, hiking and biking trails, unique accommodation options, artisanal crafts, delightful restaurants, hot air ballooning, cheese making and charming pubs and eateries.
Come for a day or a longer stay and experience what makes this area so special and why we need to protect and conserve this precious environment.
